This place really surprised me. I was expecting food like Boston Market with the out of the can taste to it. But the food was very very good. Prices are reasonable and the place has a nice setting to it. They have booth's and open tables or you can sit at the bar. I was so impressed with the place from what my expectations were that I paid them a second visit a few days later to make sure the service and food were consistent and they were very good both times. Throw your expectations out the window and come on in here for a very nice meal. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

If country cookin is your bag, then this is the place. The Pea has always been for me a consistent casual dining experience that offers its version of southern hospitality and home cooking. One can find a Pea locally throughout northern Virginia and most are easily accessible. The fresh baked sweet breads and roles are really good. Drinks are huge and the appetizers and salads fresh and tasty. You can pick from traditional southern fare such as pot roast, open faced sandwiches and chicken fried steak. The Grilled Chicken Caesar and the pot roast are two winners in my book. Service is unpretentious and efficient and lunch time will get you in and out in a hurry. Tougher seating times are the usual Friday and Saturday dinner rush, but most of the time you are seated quickly. Prices are moderate and there is a lot of good eating for the money. Stop on by and try this one y'all!

This place has a nice atmosphere and perfect for lunch or an early dinner. I've had lunch and dinner here many many times and have never been disappointed with the food. Sometimes the service can be a little lax but the food is worth the wait. This is about as close to home cooking as you'll find in this area. The specials at lunch are very appealing in taste and price or try the chicken fried chicken or the Juicy pot roast - yummy or go vegetarian, and do the veggie platter - the broccoli/rice casserole and the squash casserole are to die for.
