Typical Balston area bar. This is one of the current hot-spots in the Arlington area and has been for a couple of years. If you don't like crowds, don't come here. Most nights it's true "elbow-room", but for the singles, this is probably a good thing. Your standard "So Loud I Can't Hear You Unless You Shout" atmosphere. If you're married, my advice is to skip this one. More for the yuppie college and/or single crowds.

Smack dab in the middle of Ballston a.k.a yuppie-ville you'll find Clarendon Grill. This is a great place to mix and mingle and the Friday happy hour is especially lively. Of course, Clarendon G. features its own version of micro-brewed beers which are good and reasonably priced. Try the wheat beers, they are pretty good. Food is the usual American Grill variety. The quesadilla was good and they have a good wrap sandwich. The Grill also features live bands so expect to be hit with a cover charge. The crowd is late-twenties early-thirties and was conspicuously absent middle agers like me. Still a fun and lively place this gets high marks as a social spot more than a dining experience.
