Another great Clyde's establishment parked in the middle of the Reston Town center. Clyde's in my opinion, continues to be some of the best food and service in the area. They do it right. You can pretty much pick any of the Clyde's in the DC area and you'll have a pretty good chance at getting the fine quality at each. Only drawback as with any good restaurant in Reston or Herndon is weekend nights especially are hard to get in to. Waits can be attrocious unless your willing to sit at the bar and guzzle down a few. They do have pagers so you can shop while you wait at the Reston Town Center, but if you're hungry you may opt elsewhere, again, unless you want to grab an appetizer and drink at the bar.

Clydes in the Reston Town Center is the best for food, service and atmosphere. The booths sport cushy seats for a most comfortable dining experience. The food is outstanding - utilizing seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables. The hot rolls are to die for - crusty on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The only complaint is the butter - "why do nearly all restaurant serving hot rolls give you pats of butter that are like slabs of concrete".

The line can be long even at lunch. You have to get there between 11:30 and noon to be seated right away. In the evening the bar is a nice hang out. They allow cigars (I don't smoke 'em but love the smell). During the meal they give you a pitcher of water. Supposedly filtered water and does taste like it. The booths are relatively private and can be nice for a date. Now if you want pats of butter that are not hard as a rock (a personal peeve of mine too!) go to Sweet Water Tavern or any of their sister restaurants like Mike's American Grill, Arties, etc. The bread is very good and the butter is spreadable. You get large portions hence the high price.
